Dr. Robert Galban, Jr is from San Francisco, California and attended San Francisco State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology with a minor in Chemistry in 2004. Dr. Galban then attended Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry, where he received his Doctorate Degree of Optometry in 2008. From 2008 to 2012, Dr. Galban worked at The Eye Institute of Marin, a Glaucoma specialist ophthalmology office located in San Rafael, CA. He later moved to Sacramento, CA where he worked for a General Ophthalmology office Sierra Eye Care from 2012 to 2017. Dr. Galban moved to Richmond, VA in 2017 and has since been working at Dr. Kristine-Hue Van and Associates, Inc.

Dr. Galban is an avid film buff and enjoys critiquing television programs and motion pictures. He enjoys listening to pop culture and movie review podcasts and often contributes to them via guest hosting and sending in listener feedback. Dr. Galban enjoys sports and is a huge fan of all Bay Area professional sports teams. Dr. Galban enjoys music from the 70's and 80's and loves singing Karaoke. Dr. Galban also enjoys cooking and bbqing.

Dr. Galban is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, and also an active member of the Richmond Optometric Society. Dr. Galban is dedicated to providing the community with excellence in eye care. He is devoted to patient care and hopes to provide a lasting impression to all of the patients at Dr. Kristine-Hue Van and Associates.

It’s time for a refresh! We are excited to share that our practice will undergo a two month long remodel starting on Monday, March 13th.

We will be closed March 13-14 to move into our temporary office next to LensCrafters. You will walk through LensCrafters to get to our office. Business will resume as usual on Wednesday, March 15th until the end of April.
